Our story

For the hours that test you most.

Bubzies makes calm-the-cry baby essentials — for colicky tummies, sore gums and delicate skin. A small, carefully chosen range, so you can stop second-guessing and start settling your little one — without the 800-product rabbit holes or decoding labels at midnight.

Why we started

It usually starts around 6pm.

The crying that won’t quite stop. The bottle that gets refused. The gums that ache straight through what was meant to be bedtime. If you’ve ever paced the same square of carpet at 2am — phone in one hand, googling why won’t my baby settle — you already know the feeling Bubzies was built for.

We started Bubzies after living it ourselves. The newborn weeks arrive wrapped in advice, and almost none of it agrees. Parenting forums fill night after night with the same exhausted questions: colic and reflux, teething, eczema flare-ups, and that constant, anxious checking that a sleeping chest is still rising and falling. Somewhere in the middle of all that, you’re also expected to shop.

And shopping quietly becomes its own tax. Buy, test, react, return, repeat. Even the reassuring words on the label — gentle, hypoallergenic, natural — turn out to be loosely policed and easy to print on almost anything. So you end up paying twice: once with money, and once with the energy you didn’t have to spare.

We didn’t guess at any of this. We read the threads — the 3am posts, the “is this normal?” questions, the honest reviews that quietly admit a product made things worse. The same handful of struggles came up over and over, in parents’ own tired words. That list became our brief.

We wanted the opposite of all that. Fewer products, chosen properly. Things that earn their place on the changing table because they genuinely help on the hard evenings — not because they happened to photograph well.

What we see you carrying

Built around the parts no one warns you about.

These aren’t marketing problems we invented. They’re the real, recurring struggles parents describe again and again — the small, relentless things that quietly decide whether tonight goes okay.

01

The witching-hour cry

Colic and fussiness tend to peak in the evening — exactly when you’ve got the least left to give. Our soothing essentials are chosen to help you break the cycle, not add another gadget to it. The aim is a calmer wind-down, not a cupboard of half-used fixes.

02

Rest that never feels safe enough

Between cluster feeds and the instinct to check they’re still breathing, sleep gets rationed to scraps. We focus on the calm-down basics that make the long 3am stretch a little kinder — for both of you.

03

Sore gums, refused feeds

Teething can turn feeding and sleeping into a nightly battle. Soft, properly shaped teethers and feeding pieces give little mouths real relief, and give you back a precious moment of quiet. Relief for them usually means a little more sleep for everyone.

04

Skin that reacts to everything

Newborn skin is thin, dry and quick to flare. We lean fragrance-free and simple wherever we can, because delicate skin almost always needs fewer ingredients, not more. Simple, repeatable care beats a cabinet of products that sting.

Fewer, better things — chosen for the 6pm-to-6am reality, not the highlight reel.

What we stand for

A small range, chosen like we’re buying it for our own.

Everything we sell has to pass one simple test: would we reach for it ourselves, for our own baby, at the end of a long and difficult day? If it’s fiddly to clean, harsh on skin, or just one more thing to store and forget, it doesn’t make the cut.

That’s why our collection is deliberately edited — feeding, soothing, bath, skin and the soft everyday pieces — rather than aisle after aisle of near-identical options. We favour materials that feel kind against brand-new skin, shapes designed for small hands and sore gums, and formulas that keep the ingredient list short and the fragrance out of it.

We’d rather be the brand you trust for a handful of essentials than the one you scroll straight past for hundreds. Curating this tightly is slower and harder for us — but it’s the only honest way to take the guesswork off your plate. Which was the entire point of starting.

When something does make it in, it’s because it solved a real problem we kept seeing: a bottle that helps with windy, fussy feeds; a teether small hands can actually hold; a towel and muslin soft enough for skin that flares at the slightest thing. Every piece has to pull its weight on an ordinary, difficult Tuesday night.

Gentle by default

Skin-kind materials and fragrance-free leanings for the most sensitive newborns.

Edited, not endless

A tight, considered range, so you can choose in minutes rather than evenings.

Made for real nights

Picked for the 6pm-to-6am reality every parent actually lives.

Softer evenings start with fewer, better things.

You don’t need more baby stuff. You need the few things that truly help your little one settle — and a little more room to breathe yourself. That’s all Bubzies is here to do. We can’t promise to fix every hard night — no one can — but we can make the things you reach for in them gentler, simpler and genuinely useful. Have a look around; we think you’ll feel the difference in the small details.
